How SoSUE supports families in the SyltKlinik together with you

Support SyltKlinik with SoSUE and give hope to families with children suffering from cancer. Learn how your order can contribute to recovery and recharging on the North Sea island of Sylt.

 

Dear SoSUE friend,

Imagine walking barefoot along the beach, the wind playing in your hair, the sun warming your skin, and the sound of the sea calming your soul. Here on Sylt, people find peace and draw new energy. The North Sea island is a unique place for relaxation. But for many families, this dream is out of reach because the disease cancer casts a shadow over their lives.

This is where SyltKlinik comes in: A place where families with children suffering from cancer can recharge their strength. Surrounded by the endless expanse of the North Sea, they find a second home in this small village. Doctors, psychologists, therapists – a whole team is ready to support the children and their families on their difficult journey and bring them joy. For four weeks, affected children can forget their exhausting daily routine here together with their siblings and parents.

A few days ago, we were on site and held a dip-dye workshop together with the children and their families. It gave us great joy to be able to make a small contribution so that the young patients and their families at the SyltKlinik had a little variety and fun.

From August 16, with every order at SoSUE, you support this wonderful initiative. For every order, we will donate five euros to the SyltKlinik for four weeks.

Why is this so important?

Because every child’s smile counts. Together we can make a difference. The official care rates by far do not cover the needs of holistic treatment for children with cancer. For healing or relief, it is enormously important that the siblings and parents, who are also affected, receive comprehensive care. A strong family is indispensable for the further course of treatment. Unfortunately, these costs are not fully covered by the payers. Therefore, the work of the SyltKlinik depends on donors, helpers, and supporters. Only in this way can the unique concept be maintained.
