For a little relaxation after the holidays, my friend and I decided this year to go to the mountains for a weekend to just relax and take a walk in the snow. Since we only had one weekend at our disposal, it had to be somewhere near Munich. By chance we found the SEPP-Alpine Boutique Hotel in Maria Alm, Austria, which opened in summer 2018, and booked it immediately. After only 2 hours in the car, we were in the middle of Winter Wonderland.
The Hotel:
The Boutique Hotel is an Adults Only Hotel and therefore ideal for a nice time together. The hotel is wonderfully designed - extravagant and yet cuddly and cozy. Here, a lot of importance is attached to the togetherness and, therefore, the majority of the hotel life takes place on the 3rd floor, including bar, restaurant and the lounge corner with billiard table.
.
The Room:
We had a so-called "Roomy room". It was absolutely comfortable and really cozy for two people, like in a small mountain cabin. The bed stands diagonally in the room with a view of the large windows and the adjoining balcony. The washbasin is in the middle of the room, but the shower and toilet (fortunately) are separate and not visible. Bathrobes are available, but unfortunately there are no small shower, body or wash lotions. Too bad, because I always love these in hotels :) This room category is available from approx. 127 € per night.
The Food:
The breakfast buffet is great! There is a huge selection of muesli, cheese, sausage and bread. Fresh fruit, salmon, white sausages and bacon complete the offer. Fresh egg dishes or pancakes can also be prepared on request. Simply delicious! The best: The breakfast buffet goes to 13.00 o'clock, thus perfect for us late risers.
Every evening there is a theme evening in the restaurant. On the first evening there was Surf & Turf and on the second evening Austrian specialties. For 30 € per person we were served 4 fixed courses at the table. A salad bar buffet was also set up. The quality of the food is very good for the price and everything is prepared fresh before your eyes. However, the service is missing in some places. It all seemed a bit uncoordinated, but I guess this is due to the very new staff. After all, it takes some time for a hotel to find its groove.

Wellness:
On the roof terrace of the Sepp is my personal highlight: The infinity pool. I love infinity pools! Unfortunately, the pictures are not quite clear due to the insane snowfall from the weekend, but the view of the mountains is spectacular. Besides, the pool is almost 30 degrees and it's like climbing into a big hot bathtub, only here you can enjoy the beautiful view. Afterwards you can relax in the (somewhat small) recreation room or use the stylish sauna (a converted caravan). There are also some treatments offered, but unfortunately I can't say anything about that.
Finally I can say: Two days were simply too short and we will certainly visit the Sepp again at the next opportunity!
