And here we are with Monochrome Monday in animal prints. Attention poisonous! Because this time SoSue comes in snake green. The ensemble is from Isabel Marant and consists of a skirt and a blouse. I also like the outfit on other days in exactly this combination: I feel totally retro in this look. The material is stretchy and I like all natural and green tones. The snake, like the zebra, is not as omnipresent in the street scene as the tiger. In winter I will wear a camel coat over it - this takes the sparkle out of the outfit. Also, dark brown overknees would look good with it (If only I already had them).
It is actually astonishing that right now this dangerous reptile print is wiggling over clothes, shoes and bags. All vegan and in fake leather, of course. The Amazonia burns down and we wear snake. Is that polemical, emphatic or just totally degenerate?
I'll try a simple answer: I always find it amazing what fashion makes me feel, how it emphasizes my mood or just the opposite; it excites me. How I can hide behind it, merge with it or fall in love with it. Fashion is communication and a discourse and that has its justification.
In the bilious green snake print I feel a little like the jungle princess waiting for a poisoned apple. From her prince, of course, who will one day come and hand it to her. Until then she waits lasciviously leaning against a fence for her fate or flirts with the construction workers and tries to convince the excavator driver not to cut down more trees...
Next week it will be calmer again. Promise
Your SoSue
